Allah speaks about the Day of Judgment and the final two destinations of all human beings where the hearts and bodies enjoy an everlasting happiness or suffer from an everlasting hellfire. Allah says in Surah Hud, ”The Day it comes no soul will speak except by His permission. And among them will be the wretched and the prosperous. As for those who were [destined to be] wretched, they will be in the Fire. For them therein is [violent] exhaling and inhaling. And as for those who were [destined to be] prosperous, they will be in Paradise, abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will – a bestowal uninterrupted.” Allah sent His messengers and prophets with one clear call supported with divine books and miracles to guide people to monotheism and worshiping of Allah. Human were not created uselessly, and that they will not be resurrected. Man were created to worship Allah, Jannah was created to be the reward of believers and good-doers, and Hellfire was created to be the punishment of disbelievers and wrong-doers. People’s need for a next life is a fundamental need, the mind would go made if it expects nothing after this life. Questions will grow about the punishment for wrong-doers and the reward for the good-doers as human being’s laws are not adequate to give minds and hearts peace. Heart needs peace as it needs blood. The Quran spoke about all the details of Jannah and Hellfire.

Jannah

Jannah is incredible for its building, and amazing for its houses and grades. The companions asked the prophet Muhammed from what paradise is constructed for, he said ‘Bricks of silver and bricks of gold. Its mortar is musk of a strong fragrance, and its pebbles are pearls and rubies, and its earth is saffron. Whoever enters it shall live and shall not suffer, and shall feel joy and shall not die, nor shall their clothes wear out, nor shall their youth come to an end.’ Then he said: ‘Three persons , their supplication is not rejected: The just ruler, the fasting person when he breaks his fast, and the supplication of the wronged person. It is raised up above the clouds, and the gates of Heaven are opened up for it, and the Lord, Blessed and Exalted says: I shall surely come to your aid, even if after a time.” The immensity of the width of Jannah is unlimited, Allah said in Surah Al-Hadid, Ayah 21 ”Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is like the width of the heavens and earth, prepared for those who believed in Allah and His messengers. That is the bounty of Allah which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.” As was mentioned by the prophet Muhammed, there are a hundred grades in paradise; if the universe were gathered in one of them it would hold it all. The food of Jannah is not like anything in this life, it is only similar in names but not for natures ”[They will be told], “Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past.”, Surah Al-Haqqah. It was narrated that Zayd ibn Arqam said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: “A man in Paradise will be given the strength of one hundred men in eating, drinking, desire and intercourse.” A Jewish man said: “The one who eats and drinks will need to relieve himself.” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him, “The way in which one of them will relieve himself will be by means of sweat which will come out through his pores, and thus the food in his stomach will be digested.”

          Hellfire

Allah made Hellfire the houses of His enemies, people who fought His religion and followers of the prophets. Hellfire is an inevitable result to all the pains and suffering in this life as the people who made wrongs insistently must be punished.  It is as Allah said ”Then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones.”, the companions said to the prophet Muhammed, is it a stones like stones of Dunia (life), the prophet Muhammed replied, ”By Him in whose Hands my soul is it is a stones like mountains.” And, messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Hell will be brought on that Day (the Day of Resurrection) with seventy thousand bridles; and with every bridle will be seventy thousand angels, pulling it”. The people of Hell lives in a continual torture, no rest or sleep, enduring punishment, from a pain to another pain. An-Nu`man b. Bashir reported God’s messenger as saying, “The inhabitant of hell who will have the lightest punishment will be he who has two sandals and two sandal-straps of fire from which his brain will bubble like a pot, and he will think that no one is having a more severe punishment than he, although he is having the lightest punishment.” Every time the skins of the people of Hell are roasted through Allah will replace them with other skins so they may taste the punishment.

Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire.
