The Prophet Muhammed, PBUH, said supplicating and praising Allah ”I cannot count Your praises. You are as You have praised Yourself”. Allah mentioned in His Quran His Names and Qualities that we should repeat when we need to call Allah and ask for His bounties. We pray to Allah calling Him with His Names and say ”I ask You by every Name that You have named Yourself with, revealed in Your Book, taught any one of Your creation, or kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen that is with You, to make the Qur’an the spring of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my distress.”. Learning His Names is the Gate for accepting Duas and accepting us before Him. It is Allah’s Promise that if we pray and call Him with His Names, He will accept our Duas as He said ”And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them” (وَلِلَّهِ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ فَادْعُوهُ بِهَا).

                Al-Wahhab الوهاب

The One Who is Generous in giving plenty without any return. Also, the Name Al-Wahab refers to the One who is abundantly generous in giving without ever needing to calculate. The Name Al-Wahhab is mentioned three times in the Qur’an; in Surah Al-Imran, Aya 8 ”(They say): “Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You. Truly, You are the Bestower.”. The believer must show his submission to Allah while calling Him. He admits his weakness that his heart is filled with, and that were it not for Allah, his heart would have lost its way and would have deviated. We admit that guiding our hearts is from Allah Al-Wahab. He guides our hearts without asking for a return or interests, His gifts for us are endless. We learn from this Name and this Dua, that all the success of this life is from Allah, whatever good we do is from Allah. It was upon Allah’s commands to record the good deeds and the bad deeds and because of His Divine Name, Al-Wahab, Allah forgives us and grants us His Mercy.

Also, it was mentioned in Surah Saad, Aya 9 ”Or have they the treasures of the Mercy of your Lord, the All-Mighty, the Real Bestower?”. Allah challenges all the ideas that people may adopt of disturbing Mercy and Providence. Allah makes this only to Him and nothing comes in the way of His Givings. No one can prevent what was made for someone else. This Aya teaches us that our hearts must only be with Allah and that all the treasures of this life are created by Allah. Lastly in Surah Saad, Aya 35 ‘‘He said: “My Lord! Forgive me, and bestow upon me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me: Verily, You are the Bestower’‘. When you contemplate all the gifts and graces that you enjoy at the moment, remember Allah. The enjoyment that you have now is from Allah, the Bestower. It is a call to thank Allah for His endless gifts.

Ar-Razzaq ٱلْرَّزَّاقُ

The One Who makes the Sustenance reach His slaves. Sustenance is everything that benefits, whether halal or haram. He is the Provider, the Sustainer for all His creatures. He is the One who creates all means of nourishment and gives them their livelihood. He is the Provider of growth for all things good for the body, the soul, and the mind. Since He is the only one who can give sustenance, we should seek it from Allah. Understanding this frees a person from groveling human beings. With this meaning Muslim’s heart would be filled with contentment and pleasure towards Allah’s Decrees. May Allah give us good in this world, and good in the Hereafter. May Allah help us to remember Him, to give Him thanks, and to perform His worship in the best manner.
